Buying a new car in Tuscon? You're likely to at least stop in at one of Jim Click's showrooms. But now the dealership mogul is selling a very different array of cars than you'd find in one of his 16 locations across Arizona and California. Set to hit the auction block this August in Monterey, the Jim Click Ford Performance Collection includes some of the most enviable examples of Blue Oval-powered muscle ever to roam the road or race track.

Chief among them is a 1966 Ford GT40 that was originally used by the automaker for promotional purposes. Resplendent in black and yellow, chassis number P/1061 has been in Click's possession since 1992, racing extensively in vintage motorsport events. Now it's expected to fetch a good $4 million at auction.

Joining it is a '64 Shelby 289 Cobra that Click has bought and sold three times since 1976. Now it's being sold again with estimates exceeding $1 million. There's another 289 Cobra as well, along with a pair of Ford Mustang Boss 302 Trans Am racers from 1969 and 1970 – each valued at over a million – and a '66 Shelby GT350 that's expected to far exceed the value of the barn-found example we brought you recently at around $400k.

The Click collection represents the first early consignment for the RM Sotheby's auction during the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance this year.
